1-2-3 Door Shield® is highly effective against the most common construction and move-in damage to doors – the kind that results from movement of people and materials within a building during or after construction. Moving furniture in or out of finished spaces, such as office buildings, hotels, schools, hospitals, apartments, condominiums and single-family homes also creates an environment highly conducive to door scratches, bumps and dents. 1-2-3 Door Shield® provides effective damage control that can eliminate these annoying and expensive door damage problems quickly and easily. Construction Protection Systems, LLC, parent company of the 1-2-3 Door Shield® product line, currently enjoys patent pending status on its proprietary, pre-engineered, double-corrugated design that can be manufactured to exact specifications for all standard and most custom door sizes, including latch hardware and closer preps. The finished product comes fully assembled and either individually shrink-wrapped or packaged in 5-pack cartons, and palletized for easy handling. It can be installed in less than five minutes by unskilled personnel without tools and can be removed, stored and reused just as easily.

The patent-pending design allows 1-2-3 Door Shield® to fold together, protecting the inside faces of the product from dirt and debris common to construction sites and moving operations. The proprietary non-adhesive saddle tape and edge fastener systems and the abrasion-resistant inner liner together hold the secret to 1-2-3 Door Shield®’s unique ability to protect delicately finished surfaces of high-end door finishes. The pre-assembled “saddle,” consisting of specially-designed, heavy gauge clear adhesive tape, allows 1-2-3 Door Shield® to be installed without ever compromising delicate door finishes. No adhesive ever comes in contact with the door. The edge fasteners employ a specially designed heavy-duty hook-and-loop system that provides for quick installation and easy removal for re-use. The factory-applied inner liner serves as the first barrier to ensure that sensitive finished surfaces of wood and hollow metal doors are not subjected to damage or abrasion.

In its folded up configuration, 1-2-3 Door Shield® is easily handled and transported. When it is draped and centered over the top of the door and unfolded, it becomes transformed into a pre-engineered, re-usable door protection system that effectively shields both sides of a door from incidental damage.

Once installation is completed with the application of the protective hook-and-loop fastening system, door latch hardware can easily be installed without disassembly of 1-2-3 Door Shield® by way of removable flaps. When 1-2-3 Door Shield® is in place, the door can be closed and secured. This feature allows for controlled access to each room, an important consideration during the final stages of construction.

When construction and move-in operations are complete, 1-2-3 Door Shield® can be quickly and easily removed, nested back to its original shipping configuration, secured and re-packed in the original shipping container for handling and storage. If storage and re-use is not a desired option, 1-2-3 Door Shield® can be recycled, as it is made from 100% recycled materials. Application for certification by GreenSpec® and The Built Green Council of Colorado®, the largest green building program in the nation, is currently in process.

Custom orders of 1-2-3 Door Shield® can include white outer liner board and up to 5-color custom printing (allow six weeks for custom printing).
