1-2-3 Door Shield® is manufactured in Denver, Colorado in partnership with a high volume, independent corrugated fiberboard manufacturer. Our manufacturing partner is one of the first independent packaging companies in Colorado to be granted Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) certification. Our standard product version consists of two-ply corrugated Kraft board containing a patented, anti-static, abrasion-resistant inner liner designed to protect delicate finishes on construction sites. The result is a product with excellent abrasion resistance which is also recyclable. And because the inner liner is anti-static, dust is not drawn to the finished door face. This composite, heavy-duty pulp paper-based product effectively provides protection to both sides of a door during and after door installation, and is durable enough for re-use. It is made from 100% recycled materials and, when it reaches the end of its useful life, can be recycled.
The unique design of 1-2-3 Door Shield® includes a carefully calibrated series of engineered perforations that allow the product to be precisely and compactly folded for shipping and handling, and to prevent damage to the protective inner liner. 1-2-3 Door Shield® also features pre-engineered cut outs for door latch and closer hardware, as well as specially-designed saddle tape and edge fasteners that will not adhere to or damage delicate door finishes. The product comes pre-assembled with illustrated bilingual installation instructions printed on the product to ensure the highest level of quality control for the end user.
